Once I’ve been verified, does that mean I can sell my blood?

SafeBlood is a donor matching service, not a brokerage service, and our purpose is to benefit humanity by helping to ensure people have access to safe blood. We have never encouraged the selling of blood but we don’t have any contract that prohibits our members from doing so.  As a free person you are free to do whatever you like, but keep in mind most of our members probably don’t expect to have to pay donors out of pocket in addition to all the other costs they’ll be responsible for if they need a transfusion.

Depending on the country you live in, you are of course free to sell your blood outside the SafeBlood community. Just remember that you too may need blood at some point and will certainly be happy to be offered blood for free. However, our members consider compensation for your efforts, travel expenses or the like to be a matter of course.

We also have to keep in mind that the verification based on the C19VRA is based on the date the C19VRA was performed, and results may change because of potential transmission after some time. This is why we display the date next to the 💚 symbol.
